Lonna Szydlowski, CD(DONA)
I have been married for ninteen years and am the mother of four sons. While my experiences like most are varied, I find myself driven toward gaining knowledge and skills that support and enhance families. To expand my knowledge I founded and ran a parenting support group. In that group we shared experiences which helped each other gain knowledge to deal with the difficult issues facing today’s parents. Through this experience I learned the value of supporting and educating one another. I believe knowledge comes from experience. With that experience I can share, teach and help others gain the education I have received to nurture, comfort and support parents through pregnancy, birth and beyond.

“If doulas were a medication or a device, I expect there would be a stampede to use them. Just because having a doula present makes good common sense does not decrease its importance.” Dr. John Kennell, Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland Ohio. |
